Orion TI-84 PLUS Talking Graphic CalculatorThis calculator is based on the TI-84 graphing calculator, which is the calculator most commonly used in high school math levels. The calculator includes an attachment that uses speech, tones, and haptic feedback to describe the images on the screen. This calculator allows students with vision difficulties to participate independently in higher level math classes.

Math TypeA program that allows for the addition of math notations and equations in Braille. Word documents containing MathType equations can be printed on a ViewPlus Braille printer for reading by visually-impaired students, allowing more independence in higher level math classes.

Apps for Students with Sensory Difficulties
Math MelodiesA basic skills app for visually impaired students. The current app is designed for grades K-3, with grades 4-5 in progress and plans to create apps for both middle and high school. The app can be used with a Braille display. Many students have low fluency in basic math skills and could use this app, even if they are in higher grades.

Talking Scientific CalculatorThis calculator is designed with large bright buttons, the ability to change the contrast, support for VoiceOver and the option to use speech for input. The calculator, while not a graphing calculator, is an extensive scientific calculator that would be adequate for many homework assignments at minimal cost.

Math RobotAnother skill and drill app that works with Braille displays. It is compatible with VoiceOver and has a low-vision mode that increases contrast. Allows students with visual difficulties to practice fluency with basic skills.
